Jim Parrack, Leighton Meester, Chris O'Dowd, and James Franco at the Of Mice and Men First Curtain Call in New York City on March 19, 2014
From Blair to Broadway!
Leighton Meester of Gossip Girl fame made her theater debut in Of Mice and Men at Longacre Theatre in New York City on March 19. The play is based on Nobel Prize-winning author John Steinbeck's 1937 novella.
Leighton is playing Curley's wife, a beautiful and flirty woman who dreams of being a movie star. In the production, Leighton's character catches the attention of a fieldworker named Lennie, played by Chris O'Dowd. And we think you might recognize the actor who plays Lennie's BFF. That's right, James Franco stars as George! Stacked cast, eh?
The play hasn't been on Broadway in over 40 years, and with talent like this, it's sure to make an amazing comeback. Aka, we need tickets. ASAP.
