If you don’t remember the amazing backup dancer from Missy Elliott’s music videos in the early 2000s, you must have been living under a rock. Alyson Stoner busted some serious moves as a youngster in a slew of Missy’s videos including “Work It,” “Gossip Folks,” and “I’m Really Hot."
So what has she been up to since then? Believe it or not she's 20 years old! And she's still dancing, of course. In fact, her amazing skills led her at age 14 to be the youngest person ever to teach a hip hop master class at Millenium Dance Complex in L.A., where she still teaches today.
Alyson landed the role of Sarah in the 2003 hit movie Cheaper by the Dozen, and then Cheaper by the Dozen 2 in 2005. She continued acting and made appearances on a few Disney Channel shows, and then in 2006 she played Channing Tatum’s little sister Camille in the dance flick Step Up, a role she reprised in Step Up 3D in 2010. Later this year she will return to her role again in Step Up: All In.
Not only does she dance and act, but she's also an accomplished singer. Alyson dropped her EP Beat the System in 2010, and is currently working on her first studio album that will have more of a soulful pop vibe.
