Millions of hormonal teenaged boys will loathe the very existence of lei necklaces when the July issue of GQ hits newsstands — because the flowers are the only thing that keep the cover photo of Emily Ratajkowski from going very NSFW.
The 23-year-old model and actress poses on a rocky beach for the portrait — wearing only the nipple-concealing lei, a skimpy bikini bottom, and a dusting of sand.
In the profile of the California gal inside the issue's pages, she sounds off on everything from Woody Allen's direction of Blue Jasmine — "I feel like, in Cate, he finally found the right vessel for his neuroses" — to the work of Chilean writer Roberto Bolaño — "I always feel weird reading stuff that I know has been translated, but it seems to flow pretty well, pretty authentically."
Of course, she also discusses the song whose music video made her famous: Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines."
"I do like it. But if there's one thing I'd request, it's for people who see me out to not be, like, 'You're the hottest bitch in this place,'" she says, referencing one of the song's lyrics. "When it comes on in a bar, I run into the bathroom and hide."
Now we have to wonder, what is she gonna do when she encounters people reading the latest edition GQ?
