Parks and Recreation star Rob Lowe and his family liter-ally survived a life-threatening situation on June 25, 2014 — as a flood in France rushed through the house in which they were staying.

Luckily, the whole Lowe gang are safe and sound but they needed to be rescued by a fireman!

It all started when the town of Grasse, France, experienced more rainfall in four hours than it usually gets in four months — resulting in massive flooding and mudslides, as People reports.

Photos and video Rob and his teenage son Johnny posted to social media show the view from the second-floor window as muddy water cascades through the first floor of the house.

At one dramatic part of Johnny's video, the water sweeps away a tree.

"That's the first floor of our house submerged," he wrote in the caption. "Scariest hour or so of my life. Also, sorry for the explicit language."

"Thank you to the fireman that saved us from this nightmare," the kid tweeted. "Happy for us all to be safe, thoughts to others."

Rob, Johnny, and the rest of the Lowe brood are in Europe to celebrate Johnny's graduation from high school. They previously visited the United Kingdom and Spain, but something tells us the France leg will be the most memorable!
