No shade to RuPaul and her ladies, but the ladies in Jenny Lewis's new music video for "Just One of the Guys" — including Kristen Stewart, Anne Hathaway, and Brie Larson — could win any drag race.
The track comes from The Voyager, the third solo album from the 38-year-old singer, formerly of the band Rilo Kiley.
In the video, the actresses take on female and male personas as they lip-sync to the bittersweet ditty… and the result is perfection.
With the help of wigs, Adidas track suits, baseball caps, and facial hair, the women portray the bro-iest of bros — full of swagger, machismo, and even emotion, in the case of Anne Hathaway's male alter-ego.
"Melancholy Backstreet Boy is what I think she was going for," Jenny explains to GQ. "He really feels things deeply and break dances like a motherf—ker."
With over a million views in its first day on YouTube, the video has gone viral — and, as you might expect, filming it was a hoot for the women involved.
"We screamed with laughter all day, huddled behind the monitor," Jenny says. "I haven't laughed that hard since What About Bob? came out on laser disk."
