It’s been more than a month since a multi-vehicle crash sent comedian Tracy Morgan to the hospital in critical condition and left one of his close friends dead. The 45-year-old TV star has been making good progress on his road to recovery; he was just released from a rehab center earlier this week. And now we’ve spotted Tracy out and about, a welcome sight after his close brush with death.
Watch the video above to see Tracy working his way around his home of New York City (the Tracy coverage starts at around minute 1:30). Using a walker, he navigated the Big Apple’s streets. What a relief to see him looking so well! Best of luck, Tracy.
For those who may have missed the news, Tracy was sent to intensive care early in the morning of Saturday, June 7, after a car crash on the New Jersey Turnpike. He’s since filed a lawsuit against Wal-Mart, the company whose sleep-deprived driver allegedly hit Tracy’s limo van from behind and caused the fatal crash.
The suit claims Wal-Mart either knew or should have realized how “unreasonable” it was to expect the driver, Kevin Roper, to drive 700 miles before his shift. Kevin has pled not guilty to death by auto and assault by auto charges. More on that as the case develops.
Whatever the outcome, we just hope Tracy gets the support he needs. We’ll be thinking of you!
