It’s been a rough week for the American Horror Story: Freak Show cast and crew, as they lost a dear friend: actor Ben Woolf.

Ben, who played Meep on the frightening TV series, suffered a head injury when he was hit by a car mirror while crossing the street last week in Hollywood. The star was being treated at a nearby hospital and had been in critical condition. Then, on February 23, Ben passed away at only 34 years old.

Fans and friends of Ben have been using social media to remember the beloved star and the happiness he brought to those around him. Celebs like AHS co-creator Ryan Murphy and cast mates Evan Peters, Naomi Grossman, Kathy Bates, and Sarah Paulson all mourned the loss of Ben and posted touching memories and well wishes to his family members.

Ryan tweeted, “RIP Ben Woolf. One of the most inspirational people I’ve ever met.” And Evan Peters honored the talented actor by tweeting, “God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Rest in peace, little angel. #RIPBenWoolf.”

Ben will truly be missed by so many. Our hearts are with the Woolf family during this very difficult time. R.I.P. Meep...
