Chad Johnson Clears Up Rumors of Steroid Use, Violence to Women (VIDEO)
The Season 12 villain took the opportunity to clear up those rumors, as well as a few others, in an interview with Andy Cohen on the Bravo heavyweight’s SiriusXM show, Radio Andy, on Monday.
“I went into it the same way a bodybuilder went into a bodybuilding competition,” he explained of his strategy on the show, which included him showing off his fit shape and “nice clothes” in an attempt to woo the Dallas beauty.
While no one is accusing the real estate developer of being insecure about his looks, he did admit to Andy he found army vet Luke Pell to be the other best looking guy in Bachelor Mansion.
“Probably Luke, not a bad looking dude,” the 28-year-old hunk quipped, before throwing in a dig. “He's a little weird and sketchy sometimes, but not a bad-looking dude.”
Another issue he felt the need to clear up was the alleged misconception he’s a “violent crazy person who hurts women or something like that.”
“It's a competition … I'm going to do what I have to do,” he reasoned. “I treat my women very well. That's my thing, like yeah, I'm willing to do what I gotta do to get what I want when it comes to competition, but I'm very nice to my girls.”
He teased, “We're still talking. We're not anything serious or anything I don't know where it will go. We had a full weekend.”
While traveling this weekend, our paths crossed and I finally had the opportunity to meet Hope Higginbotham in person. Let me just say, she is even more beautiful in person! A great girl like her deserves so much better than someone who lies, cheats, and ends a four year long relationship in order to pursue fame on a tv show. You're amazing, I miss you already @hopealverta . . . . . #TheBachelorette #TheBachelor #TheChadelor #Bachelornation #bachelormonday #bachelormondays #realitytv #realityshow#realitytvstar #realitytvshows #realityshows #realitytvstars #bravotv #mtv #abc #joelle #realitystar #realitystars #tvshow #follow #followme #love #datingshow
Apparently, his purpose for the meet up with Hope was not to find true love, though — he wanted to out Robby for supposedly dumping her to go on Bachelorette.
“The main goal with that was to show you've got all these guys on the show and they're acting all nice and like they're such good guys when at the end of the day, they're cheating on their girlfriends. Half of them broke up with girlfriends to go on the show. How can they be good guys? I wouldn't do that,” he preached.
The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
