When Robin grilled Chad about being given one too many chances, he was adamant in pointing out that the alleged domestic violence dispute with Evelyn Lozada was his first ever transgression. “I haven’t had any chances because I’ve never been in any trouble before. I’ve done nothing wrong, ever. This is my first time getting in trouble with the legal system,” he argued.
“My trouble in the past has been having fun entertaining fans when it came to playing the game of football. This is all new to me and I try to do my best... situations like this usually break people and I wouldn’t allow anything to break me, he concluded.
Although the alleged physical altercation with Ev wasn’t directly mentioned, Chad acknowledged that on that day he lost “two of the things in life that I loved the most.” When Robin asked for specifics, Chad elaborated saying the he lost his football career and Evelyn as a result of his alleged actions.
And even though he was dropped from the Miami Dolphins just days after the reported altercation, Chad still holds out hope that he’ll be able to hit the field once again. “Everyone deserves a second chance. Many would say I might not deserve it. I would like to finish my career off the right way...I would love to grace the football field one more time.”
