Huge congratulations are in order for Grey’s Anatomy star Chandra Wilson (Miranda Bailey)! According to showrunner Shonda Rhimes, Chandra was honored with an award for her directing work on Grey’s over the weekend, and we have one thing to say to that news: It’s about time!

Shonda posted the good news on WhoSay Monday afternoon, along with a photo of Chandra holding her award proudly.

“Proud to say #ChandraWilson and #StacyMcKee won Women’s Image Network awards last night for directing and writing #GreysAnatomy episode 1017 ‘Do You Know’,” Shonda wrote. “Women’s Image Network celebrates work that is of value to women and girls. Go Chandra!! Go Stacy!!”

In case you’ve forgotten exactly what went down last season after everything Season 11 has thrown at us so far, let us catch you up — although the episode that Chandra directed is pretty unforgettable. Season 10, Episode 17, “Do You Know,” gave us an insight into Cristina’s (Sandra Oh) life, had her life taken a few different paths. It was one of the final Cristina-centric episodes before Sandra exited the show, and serves as a great example of all the things Grey’s does best, so it’s not surprising that it’s now an award-winner!

Congratulations, Chandra! We’re glad to see her hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed.
