Charlie Sheen Fires Selma Blair From Anger Management

UPDATE: TVLine confirmed Selma's abrupt departure, halfway through filming the 90-episode second season. Producer Lionsgate shared a brief statement with the site: “Selma Blair will not be returning to Anger Management, and we wish her the very best." Congrats, Selma, you're free!

Original story:

You know something's not right with your career when Charlie Sheen refuses to work with you.

Selma Blair found out just how fickle the affections of the world's foremost rock star from Mars can be when she spoke negatively about his work ethic recently.

TMZ reports that Charlie is refusing to shoot Monday's episode of Anger Management after hearing that Selma had complained to executives on the show about his behavior — namely, that he arrives to work late and takes a less-than-stellar approach to his job.

Charlie is miffed about her assessment of him, particularly because Selma only has to learn a fraction of the lines he does each episode, and, because he's the star of the show and can do pretty much whatever he wants.

So what did the always-reasonable Charlie do?

Fired Selma from the show, offering a cool $1 million per episode to Mila Kunis if she'll sign on for a 10-episode arc.

While it's unclear if Charlie actually has the power to fire anyone, it looks as though things will sure be awkward if Selma returns to set — if you could even think of something more awkward than a day on set with ol' captain Tiger Blood to begin with, that is.
