Charlize Theron and Sean Penn Want to Get Married and Adopt a Child This Summer — Report

It sounds like we’ll be hearing wedding bells for Charlize Theron and Sean Penn sooner than we thought! Back in June, rumors that the couple was ready to tie the knot began to surface, and now it seems they may be planning on saying “I do” this summer. Oh, and they want to adopt a child from her native South Africa. Too much, too soon? Not in Hollywood!

A source recently dished to Us Weekly that “[Charlize and Sean] want to get married very soon.” While Charlize is already a mother to adopted son Jackson, 2, the source adds the the 38-year-old has “always intended to have another child.”

Given that Sean, 53, has proven himself to be a “strong role model” for Charlize’s little boy, adopting a child together seems to be the next step for these two (and a wedding, of course)! Plus, Sean has already clocked in plenty years as a parent — he is father to Dylan, 23, and Hopper, 20, with ex-wife, Robin Wright.

Ever since they began dating about eight months ago (which in Hollywood translates to an eternity), the source reveals that Sean “is revitalized with Charlize."

It’s also worth noting that these two actually knew each other for years beforehand. "Sean and I have known each other for 18 years. We were just really good friends,” Charlize explained in the June issue of Vogue.

“And it's been slow going because you are aware that you could screw that up and lose it. We had to think about it. But at the end of the day, it was somewhat effortless."

Should these two make their relationship official, it will be Sean’s third marriage (he wed Madonna back in ‘80s), and a first for Charlize, who split from her boyfriend of 10 years, Stuart Townsend, in 2010. Here’s to waiting for those wedding bells to ring!
