Has Paul Wesley (Stefan) taken over The Vampire Diaries set? The actor is behind the camera as director for Season 5, Episode 18 of the series, and he seems to be taking to the power like a Lannister. Check out this behind-the-scenes tweet from the set!

“Rocked up at work today to discover that @paulwesley has killed & usurped our director - this place is weird,” Penelope Mitchell (Liv Parker) tweeted yesterday, along with a hilarious photo of Paul in his backwards baseball cap, sternly giving Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy) direction. Steven is smirking back at him. We’re not sure if we can express how much we love these shots of Paul being a director. Fingers crossed for a behind-the-scenes featurette of this episode on the Season 5 DVD.

And can we talk about how Penelope is back on set? So far, we’ve only seen her newbie witch character Liv in Season 5, Episode 13 (“Total Eclipse of the Heart”) when she used a locator spell to find Dr. Wes, and save Jeremy’s life. But she’s back! We totally got a recurring character vibe from this snarky blonde. She’s totally clueless about witchcraft and we can only imagine she’ll seek out Bonnie’s help again in learning how to control her powers. Besides, now that Bon Bon is magic-free, this show is seriously short on witches. Travelers don’t count.

Would you watch the “Paul Wesley: Director” featurette? And what role do you think Liv will play moving forward? Sound off in the comments below!
