Randy Houska Talks Chelsea’s Wedding, Says She Wants to Quit ‘Teen Mom 2’
Has Papa Randlicious said too much?
Dr. Randy Houska, aka Teen Mom 2 fans’ second-favorite grandparent (Babs is still No. 1!), did an interview on a dental podcast titled “Dentists, Implants and Worms” — because apparently, like with reality shows, there’s a podcast for everything now — and revealed a whole lot about daughter Chelsea Houska.
First, the South Dakota dentist divulged a few unknown details about Chelsea’s upcoming wedding to Cole DeBoer, and further explained their decision to not have the fall affair televised.
“Chelsea’s getting married in October…she drew the line [on filming the wedding],” he said, according to The Ashley. “She won’t let them tape it. That was a lot of fighting back and forth. They certainly wanted it.”
Randy even confirmed MTV offered to foot the bill for the wedding had she allowed them to film it, but Chelsea turned them down.
“She doesn’t need it paid for. I was very proud that she grew the balls to say no,” he continued. “They’ll go to the bachelorette party and stuff [to film], but for the wedding she agreed that she’ll send a bunch of professional still photos [to them to use for the show].”

Aubree’s grandpa also shared how proud he is of his daughter in general, despite her, you know, getting knocked up as a teenager.
“I’m pretty biased, but I think she’s probably one of the best role models on the series,” he said. “I’m not [saying] that to bash on the other girls but she went back to school, didn’t go bed-hopping with a bunch of guys, and concentrated on her career and her daughter until the right guy came along.”
Oh, the Jenelle Evans shade is real.
But later came a major bombshell. When Randy was asked if Chelsea and Cole would ever consider their own spin-off show, Randy said no... because Chelsea is done with reality TV!
“I believe she probably wouldn’t want to do that,” he said matter-of-factly. “She’s ready to quit. I don’t think I’m supposed to say that. If the series ends, she’s fine with it,” not acknowledging that she and the other girls are already in the midst of filming Season 8.

He added the 24-year-old has only been doing the show for so long because it’s “financially lucrative” for her, but she doesn’t like the drama the producers sometimes instigate. Ahem, Adam Lind.
This isn’t exactly breaking news, since Chelsea hinted at the Season 7 reunion show she’s sort of over it all. But still, we think you’ve said too much, doc!
