Chris Brown and Drake Spotted in the Studio Together — Beef Over?! (PHOTO)
Well, here's a potential collab we never expected to see! Marcos "Kosine" Palacios of production duo Da Internz posted a photo of Chris Brown and Drake working in a recording studio together, and we still can't believe our eyes.
"Should we give these n—z more glow or nah?" Kosine asked songwriter Eric Bellinger in the caption to this photo on Instagram. Eric later reblogged the pic with a simple "stay tuned." What is happening?!
The source seems to be pretty official; Da Internz has worked with Big Sean, Ludacris, and even Miley Cyrus. They've also worked with Chris Brown before… on Rihanna's song "Birthday Cake." And therein lies the elephant in the recording studio.
Drake and Breezy have both been on-and-off with RiRi — Drake more recently than Chris. Her relationships with both men are long and storied, which helped along an all-out nightclub brawl between Drake and Chris in 2012. Chris's bodyguard alleged that the fight started when Drake's entourage sent Chris and his crew a note that said, "I am f —king the love of your life." Rapper Meek Mill, also at the club, gave a different perspective: "Things just happen in the club."
But the rivalry didn't stop at the club. Chris had a mini-meltdown at a concert on International Women's Day 2013, starting with "Don't make me have to tell you again that that's my p—y baby" and ending with "I want you all to know, f—k Drake." The next month, Drake would tell a radio host, "His insecurities are the fact that I make better music than him, that I'm more popping than him, and that at one point in life the woman that he loves fell into my lap."
Still, these two seem to have put aside their differences — a process that started late last year, when the pair hugged it out at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. Sources told Page Six that, mediated by Def Jam music exec Abou Thiam, the pair even had some drinks and talked about making some tracks together… a thing that appears to actually be happening now.
