Chris Brown Releases First Post-Jail Single “New Flame” After Performing on BET Awards
Now that Chris Brown is out of jail, he’s not wasting any time getting back to what he truly loves: Music. After performing his current single, “Loyal,” on last night’s BET Awards, he swiftly dropped his next single — the first one since he said goodbye to his orange jumpsuit — with Usher and Rick Ross called “New Flame.”
After teasing the song’s release all weekend on Twitter, Chris premiered his latest release directly after his performance on Soundcloud. It’s clearly a love song, which has us wondering if it was inspired by his flame, Karrueche Tran. The couple’s obviously pretty serious about each other, since she stayed by his side while he was behind bars and then threw him a surprise party upon his release. She sounds like a keeper!
Chris might not be out of jail for long, though, so fans should soak up this single while they can. He recently rejected a plea deal for his Washington D.C. assault case, so Chris will find himself back in court in September.
The release of this single makes us wonder if he’s going to make sure his collaboration with fellow jailbird Justin Bieber is on the fast track to radio? The threat of going back to jail may have lit a “New Flame” under Chris where his career is concerned, if you know what we mean.
