Chris Brown’s Club Brawl Lawsuit Settlement Finally Approved
Well, one of Chris Brown’s legal woes has been solved.
RadarOnline is reporting that the settlement agreements in one of his cases have been approved. Chris had previously reached a deal with the victims of the bloody brawl with Drake at the W.I.P. Club in 2012. However, the W.I.P. filed a motion to withdraw their positions and negotiations fell apart.
Chris filed an opposition to the motion and argued that the settlement, “took months, included numerous sessions with the court, and required many hours of attorney negotiation,” and the lawyers’ “withdrawal at this critical moment in the settlement process would materially adversely impact the parties’ ability to execute and finalize the Settlement Agreement,” court documents stated.
Later a judge ruled all parties were “ordered to appear for a compliance conference.”
Chris isn’t in the clear now by any means. He was recently sentenced to 131 days in jail after he confessed that he violated his probation when he assaulted a man last year in Washington, D.C.
