At just 23 years old, Chris Colfer (Kurt) is already a New York Times bestselling author. He’s published an impressive three books in the last year alone, and now Business Wire is revealing that the Glee star has inked a deal to write three more books.

Seriously. How does this man have any free time? Chris published The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell in July 2012, Struck By Lightning: The Carson Phillips Journal in November 2012, and The Land of Stories: The Enchantress Returns in August 2013. Both Land of Stories novels made the New York Times Bestsellers List, with Chris’s debut novel quickly shooting to the number one spot.

So what can we expect from Chris in his next three novels? More Land of Stories, naturally! Books three and four of the series will be released in fall 2014 and spring 2015, respectively. Then, Chris will branch out (see what we did there?) by publishing an original picture book, The Curvy Tree, also in spring of 2015.

The Glee star had tweeted just the day before, “BIG ANNOUNCEMENT coming tomorrow!!! Something I'm incredibly excited about and will make you all very happy! :)

After Chris made the announcement on October 17, Co-star Kevin McHale (Artie) was quick to react: “@chriscolfer woooo!!! Amazing! CONGRATS!”

Now the big question: What does this mean for Chris’ role on Glee? Normally, we’d be worried that news like this would suggest Chris is leaving acting for good. But if anyone can star in a hit TV show and simultaneously write multiple books at once, it’s Chris Colfer. He’s already done it once before. Given this, it seems fairly safe to assume that his screentime on Glee won’t be negatively impacted.

Earlier on October 17, Glee creator Ryan Murphy confirmed earlier reports that his show will end after Season 6. That sets the final episode airing sometime in spring of 2015. We don’t know if Chris will continue with acting after that, or if he’ll shift to being an author full-time. Either way, the Emmy-nominated, Golden Globe Award-winning actor is clearly immensely talented in both areas. Whatever he chooses to do: Writing, acting, or both, Chris clearly has a long and successful career ahead of him.
