The Bachelor has been lighting up our lives since the dawn of time, and Chris Harrison's been there every step of the way. This dynamic dude is one of the best television hosts ever — but we're thinking it's time for him to steal the spotlight.
Chris got divorced from his wife of nineteen years, Gwen Jones, back in 2012, which means boyfriend is currently single and ready to mingle. Sure, he's been spotted with the occasional blonde hottie, but this host with the most still hasn't found a gal to go steady with — which brings us to The Bachelor. How amazing would it be if Chris stepped out of the sidelines and into Bachelor Mansion?!
Answer: all kinds of amazing. Unfortunately, Chris has zero interest in being crowned ABC's next Bachelor.
"I don't think it's really for me. I'm not really the type of guy that dates out loud, lives out loud," Chris tells The Huffington Post. "You never really see me, unless its accidental, in the tabloids or any of those magazines. I don't go out and party much, so it's not really my thing."
Chris goes on to explain that he's hip to The Bachelor's behind-the-scenes secrets, which could be a major problem. "Having been behind the curtain and helped produce this, it would be so hard to be genuine and go through it with any sense of naiveté," he says. "You kind of have to have that innocence to be the bachelor or the bachelorette. It needs to kind of happen around you and I would be producing and directing while I'm doing it and that's probably not a good way to go about finding love."
Well, at least he's being honest. And if all else fails, Chris can always try dating one of the 500+ rejects roaming around the hills and valleys of Bachelor Nation.
