There's nothing — nothing! — Rosemaster Chris Harrison can't do, from officiating at Bachelor weddings to skillfully identifying the final rose sitting on the delivery tray. So why not let him add Bachelor midwife to his résumé?
We can see it now: "Ladies, gentlemen — this is The Bachelor baby. Take a moment and say your hellos."
"We talked about it for quite a while and we decided Chris Harrison was going to be our midwife," Stephen joked (we think) during the show. "We figure that's a really good role for him." DeAnna, also deadpan, agreed: "He's going to deliver my baby."
Chris is up for the challenge; he tweeted right after this televised announcement: "Yes @DeAnnaPappas I will deliver your baby." The official @BachelorABC account was skeptical, tweeting, "@chrisbharrison... a mid-wife?" Chris shot back, "I got this!" Stephen may be having second thoughts, though, writing to Chris, "Can we talk about this???" Too late, bro! Besides, as Chris replied, "Don't worry buddy it's free." Bonus!
J.P. Rosenbaum now wants in on the CH action, too. Season 7 Bachelorette Ashley Hebert talked about her “major baby fever” during last night's special, and she already has their nursery planned — even though she's not currently pregnant and won't be until her dental residency is over.
Ashley's hubby J.P. is in planning mode, though, and he quipped to Chris, "you better study up on ur circumcisions. #BachelorMohel" But DeAnna was copied on that tweet and she wrote back, "a hahahah! Please don't circumcise my baby girl." J.P. replied, "oops, that certainly would not be good. How about the next bachelor baby boy?" Well, that would be Melissa Rycroft Strickland's baby, and she may not be down with that either.
All told, Bachelor Nation is filled with some pretty strange people but at least our senses of humor are similarly warped! Besides, who wouldn't want Chris Harrison to be the first face they saw when they entered this world?
Most. Dramatic. Birth. EVER!
