Chris Noth: I Was Told I Was Too Fat For Sex and the City (VIDEO)
Actresses often have to change body types at the whims of filmmakers — usually for the skinnier, unfortunately — but, as Sex and the City's Chris Noth reveals, men are at times subject to the same scrutiny.
The 58-year-old actor — currently a lead character on The Good Wife — stopped by HuffPost Live to talk about his role as a spokesperson in World Food Day, a global movement to end world hunger.
But the conversation turned toward Chris's love of food — which almost got him in trouble with SATC writer-director Michael Patrick King!
"That reminds of a story [from] when we were doing the movie of Sex and the City," Chris recounts. "And Michael Patrick King came up to me and said, 'Listen, dude, we're not calling you Mr. Big because of the size of your stomach, so go lose that before we start shooting.' I'm like, 'Really?' [pantomiming stuffing his face]"
In addition to his work on The Good Wife, Chris has three movies in production: rom-com Elsa & Fred, thriller Sara's Cell, and drama Sea Isle.
But he'll always be Mr. Big to us — and not because of any changes to his waistline!
