Chris Pine Pleads Guilty to DUI, Loses Driver’s License (VIDEO)
Chris Pine is probably wishing he had recruited someone to drive him home earlier this month. Indeed, the Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit star has pleaded guilty to DUI and will lose his license.
Chris, 33, was arrested on March 1 in New Zealand for DUI after leaving the wrap party for his new film, Z for Zachariah. His blood-alcohol level registered at 0.11 percent, which is above New Zealand's legal limit of 0.08, and he admitted to having consumed four vodka drinks.
Now, People reports that the actor pleaded guilty to DUI on March 17 in New Zealand. He reportedly stood silently during the court hearing while his lawyer entered the plea. As a result of the plea, Chris must pay a fine of $93 New Zealand dollars ($79) and will have his New Zealand driver's license suspended for six months.
That said, he probably was going to leave New Zealand soon anyway, so we're not sure if the suspended license is that much of an inconvenience. At any rate, we're somehow thinking that this St. Patrick's Day won't be a particularly boozy one for Chris.
Chris is best known for playing Captain Kirk in the two most recent Star Trek films. He also has starred in such films as This Means War and Unstoppable and will soon be seen in Into the Woods and Horrible Bosses 2.
In Just My Luck, he and Lindsay Lohan have similar luck — which now appears to be the case in real life.
