Chris Pratt and Wife Anna Faris on Their Nine-Week Premature Son: “We Were Scared”
Funnyman Chris Pratt can certainty dole out the jokes, but when it comes to his son, Jack, he can get pretty serious (and sentimental).
The Guardians of the Galaxy star and his wife and fellow funny woman, Anna Faris, welcomed their first child back in 2012, but he arrived just a little bit early. In fact, he was nine-weeks premature and ended up spending a month in the Intensive Care Unit.
The couple hadn’t publicly spoken about it until Chris recently opened up about that scary month to to People. “We were scared for a long time,” the 35-year-old father reveals to the magazine. ‘We prayed a lot.”
Chris adds, “It restored my faith in God, not that it needed to be restored, but it really redefined it. The baby was so beautiful to us, and I look back at the photos of him and it must have been jarring for other people to come in and see him, but to us he was so beautiful and perfect.”
We’re happy to report that little Jack is now one healthy boy, and he’s approaching his second birthday this August! “He is such a fighter, he’s amazing,” Chris beams. “He’s so open and there’s no fear in him no matter what.”
The proud father adds, “He is so charming that my plan is to just let him take care of us as soon as he’s old enough.” We can’t handle how adorable Chris is. Not only is he a pro at braiding hair, but he’s a doting father. #SoManyFeels.
