Call us selfish, since we just witnessed a Bachelor wedding two months ago, but we are in serious countdown mode for a Bachelorette wedding. Ahem, Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried — we’re talking to you!
The Season 9 cuties have been living together in Seattle, in fully engaged bliss since the show wrapped in August 2013. Considering Des’s day job is all about weddings, all the time, we bet she’s had plenty of bells ringing in her ears in anticipation of her own special day.
The couple jetted down to Los Angeles for Juan Pablo Galavis’s Season 18 Bachelor finale and Des caught up with YourTango.com to chat about her coming nuptials. While we already know who they're inviting, what they’ll be munching on at the reception, and plenty of other good things, we still hadn’t heard about a date — or location!
Last we heard, they were debating between the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, and California, where Des’s family and friends still live. So, what’s the winning choice? Cali, it turns out.
“We don’t have an exact date set just yet, but just had our engagement party and are taking our time to plan,” Des reveals. “It will be in California, since that is where I call home.”
It doesn’t hurt that production for the show the couple met on is based out of Cali, meaning there’s an even greater chance we’ll get to watch them walk the aisle. In fact, all the televised Bachelor/ette weddings have been in The Golden State: Sean and Catherine got married in Santa Barbara, Jason and Molly Mesnick got hitched in Rancho Palos Verdes, Ashley and J.P. tied the knot in Pasadena, and original couple, Trista and Ryan Sutter, made history in Rancho Mirage.
Tick tock, ding dong, get married wherever you want, you can’t go wrong! (You can thank constant poet Chris for that inspired ditty.)
