Bachelorette 2014 Fantasy Suites Shocker: Chris Soules Sent Home Early — Why?
The Fantasy Suite dates are the point in the season where Bachelorette Andi Dorfman gets to take it to the “next level” with her three remaining men. Except, for one unlucky guy, she takes it a step back. Like, way back. Like the “buh-bye buddy” she tells one guy before the key to the room is even on the table.
Tonight, Andi sent fan favorite farmer Chris Soules home before the Rose Ceremony. Not only that, he got the boot before he received the key to her fantasy suite. All we have to say is, girl, for real? That smile, those eyes, the dimples, the fashionable vests… what were you thinking, Andi?
While we realize her relationship with Chris hasn’t had quite the same spark as her romance with Nick Viall and Josh Murray, we have to ask, isn’t that what the fantasy suites are for — to ignite some, um, sparks? Apparently, Andi didn’t feel the same and didn’t want to prolong the inevitable with poor Chris. It wouldn’t be fair to make him wait for the Rose Ceremony to find out his fate.
Andi set up her decision at the beginning of their date with, “I don't know if my relationship with Chris is at a certain point where I'm comfortable spending the night with him." Translation, bye-town.
We knew something was up when she went on Ryan Seacrest’s show earlier today. When Andi was asked about Josh and Nick, the Hotlantan gushed. Her only comment about Chris was what great hands he has. Um, again girl, if he has such great hands why didn’t you let him use them in the suite?
When it came down to it, poor Chris seemed shocked off his tractor seat when Andi dropped the bomb that she just wasn’t that into him. She tells him she’s at a crossroads, and unsure about him despite the fact that he’s a God amongst men. His response is simply, “All I want to do is fall in love with you and that’s what’s happening.”
That’s when the tears start, for reals. For some reason, Andi keeps bringing up Iowa and how it’s not Iowa’s fault that she’s just not that into him. Riiiiggghhht. “I feel like an idiot,” she says. Yup girl, yup.
If it’s not there, it’s not there, but we can’t get over that it’s not. She says her “head and heart don’t match up.” Translation, she knows she’s got a catch in front of her, but Josh and Nick have already caught her. Chris, for his part, takes it like the gentleman champ he is. He tells her he “wants her feelings to be for him, and if they’re not he wants to go home.” He even goes so far as to tell her “she made the right decision.” Don’t enable her, Chris. Sigh.
We’re sad to see the farmer go, but we’re positive he won’t have any problem finding an Andi replacement in like .05 seconds. He says he wants a girl who’s “happy to see me everyday and share an awesome life.” Um, we’re free, Chris.
Can you believe Andi kicked Chris to the curb before he even gets a shot at the fantasy suite? Tell us in the comments.
