The Voice 2013: Why Christina Aguilera Will Win Season 5

On Monday, September 23, The Voice Season 5 coach Christina Aguilera returned to the her big red chair and it looks like the “Beautiful” singer is going for blood. After taking a season off to work on her music, the pop icon is back and more convincing than ever, and she’s snagged some of this season’s best vocalists.

On Monday night, Christina nabbed DJ and vocalist Josh Logan, whose rendition of Alex Clare’s synth-pop song “Too Close” left the female coach feeling like she was listening to the Alex himself. The following night, Christina also won over young pop singer Jacquie Lee and country crooner Destinee Quinn.

But the gem of Christina’s team so far has to be indie-pop singer Matthew Schuler, whose performance of “Cough Syrup” made him quite possibly the most coveted Voice contestant on the show’s Monday night premiere.

Now that’s not to say that coaches Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton are without their share of talent — each of the coaches are building up their teams with solid competition for Xtina’s crew, but thus far, she’s turning out to have the most eclectic mix of entertainers.

And of course we know that Christina isn’t done yet.

It’s great to see the pop star venturing outside her comfort zone when it comes to her picks, and even getting a little “Dirty” to win them over. With her go-getter attitude and apparent hunger, we honestly think that Christina has a chance at breaking coach Blake Shelton’s winning streak.

Which coaches’ team do you think has the chance to win so far? Tell us below!
