Though they started out behind bars, nothing could stop their fast-paced, sharp movements, and then they glided across the ballroom set to sultry music. They also didn’t stick to traditional Foxtrot moves, adding in a bit of fun flair thoughout the performance.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Foxtrot that was more spunky and sultry,” Bruno said, noting that it wasn’t traditional, but it was “fantastic” and “very foxy.” Carrie Ann agreed, but noted that she has to open up her shoulders, though she “performs the heck out of these numbers.”
Guest judge Julianne Hough was hoping for a softer side, wanting to see a completely different side of Christina. “Sometimes it felt like, choreography-wise, it was two people dancing side by side rather than together,” speaking from her own experience dancing with Mark.
Ultimately, they scored 8s across the board, landing them with 24 points.
