Claire Holt Talks Next Role After The Originals

We’re still crying about Claire Holt’s departure from The Originals as a main character. The supernatural spin-off just won’t be the same without Rebekah Mikaelson to keep her brothers in line! But, if we can’t have Claire on The Originals, then we sure as heck better get her on something else. What did Claire say she was looking for in her next role?

“I would love to continue to challenge myself by trying different things. Action. Drama. Comedy,” Claire told Glamoholic. “I would be grateful to do any and all of it if someone is kind enough to hire me!”

You know what has action, drama, and comedy? The Originals. OK, we’ll stop. Claire did give the series a shout-out, speaking about how lucky she was to get such a dynamic and diverse role as Rebekah: “I have such a wonderful time on The Originals though, because I get to play Rebekah in so many different periods. I’m a little spoiled.” Ugh. We can’t stay cross with this Aussie actress — not when she’s so darn grateful!

Prior to her turns on TVD and The Originals, Claire had a recurring role as Emily’s girlfriend on Pretty Little Liars, a few roles in direct-to-video or TV movies, and a starring role on an Australian show called H20: Just Add Water (with bestie Phoebe Tonkin). But the actress really hasn’t done that much — which really surprises us given how talented she is. We can’t wait to see which role Claire lends her considerable talent to next. Whatever show or film it is, it will be lucky to have her.

What kind of role would you like to see Claire in next? Sound off in the comments below!

The Originals airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
