Clare Crawley Moves Fast, Fell For Juan Pablo Galavis After First Date
There’s no slow lovin’ in Bachelor Nation. In the real world, it’s crazy to spend just a few minutes with a guy before you start naming your future babies, but wallflowers rarely get the final rose onThe Bachelorand Bachelorette.
Kelly “Dog Lover” Travis is no shrinking violet, but so far she’s mostly been the comic relief of Juan Pablo Galavis’s Season 18. We haven’t seen too much of her connection with the single dad, and in a conference call with reporters earlier this month, Kelly admitted that she’s not one to zoom from zero to JuanPabloForever… unlike Clare Crawley.
“I mean, I move slower than, you know, say a Clare,” Kelly explained to the press. “You know, Clare is very quick when it comes to guys and I think that you can see that in the episode. She is the emotional girl. And I think that after their first date she thought, ‘Oh, I can see myself with Juan Pablo for the rest of my life.’"
Clare may just be getting lost in Bachelor fantasyland, but this show certainly encourages that. Kelly said she needs more than a few one-on-one times to know if someone is husband material, which sounds too sane for this show. She did say she saw a great, fun guy in Juan Pablo — up to that point — but it’s not like she was head over heels and knew he was The One.
Speaking of our emotional Clare Bear, though, her name came up again when Kelly was asked about her biggest competition for JPG’s attention. “Right now my biggest competition is probably Clare just because she got the first one-on-one date. So there's definitely some initial attraction there.”
More time has gone by since then, but we’ve only seen Clare grow more possessive of “her” man. Maybe Clare believes it was love at first sight? It happens sometimes in the real world and four couples have now walked down the aisle after meeting this exact way. Unfortunately, it looks like there might be trouble because of this very (charming) trait, next week.
