Clint Eastwood Separates With Wife of 17 Years (UPDATE)

Update (10/24/13): It looks like Mrs. Eastwood is keeping a little less company these days. TMZ reports that Clint Eastwood's wife, Dina, has filed from divorce from the legendary tough guy after 17 years of marriage. Dina is asking for full custody of the couple's teenage daughter, Morgan. Both Dina and Clint have been rumored to be seeing other people since they first separated in August, although neither party has confirmed that they are dating outside the marriage. Dina is seeking spousal support and money for her legal fees from Clint.

Original story: Things have gotten a little hairy for Clint Eastwood and wife Dina, who announced today that they have separated. But Clint fans can rest assured that it’s more good than bad and ugly.

83-year-old Clint and 48-year-old Dina got married on March 31, 1996, and even had a reality show together last year, Mrs. Eastwood & Company. The show followed Dina and their daughter, 16-year-old Morgan, around their lives in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, with some occasional cameos from the Hollywood elder statesman.

Dina confirmed the news to Us Weekly on August 29, though an insider says that they have been split up for more than a year. "Clint fell out of love with Dina a long time ago," the source says of their break up, noting that it was “amicable.”

Clint, who rose to fame in 1959 while on Rawhide, and who has been in the spotlight ever since, has been called a “serial womanizer” for years. He has eight children with six women, but has only been married once before Dina. In 1953, he and Maggie Johnson wed, after meeting on a blind date.

When the two were separated, Clint had an affair and a first child (whom he didn’t publicly acknowledge until 16 years ago). He and Maggie later reconciled, having two kids together before divorcing officially in 1984. He had several more children before meeting Dina Ruiz in 1993, when she interviewed him.

The pair married in a private ceremony in 1996. At the time, Dina said “The fact that I am only the second woman he has married really touches me.”
