CMT Music Awards 2014: Kristen Bell to Host — Who’s Performing?
Time to break out your finest denim and polish up that saddle. The CMT Music Awards are just around the corner and this year they promise to be even more fun than normal. Why are we so sure CMT’s got an extra special show tucked under its cowboy hat? Because Kristen Bell is at the head of this stampede!
That’s right. The actress who wowed us all with her powerhouse vocals in Frozen (and made Disney a nice chunk of change in the process) will play hostess at this year’s festivities. It’s the first time she’s ever ruled the roost alone, though she previously hosted with Toby Keith in 2012 and Jason Aldean the very next year.
Kristen will have an impressive stable of stars under her watch. LeAnn Rimes, Rascal Flatts, and Brooklyn Decker will be just a few of the night’s presenters, says Us Weekly. Also on the line-up for the evening’s award-givers: The Voice Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope, Steve Austin, and Dawson Leery himself, aka James Van Der Beek.
Don’t even get us started on the performances scheduled for the evening. Kristen said it perfectly by describing the ceremony as “the best country concert lineup all in one venue.” We’re hearing Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, and Miranda Lambert will all be lending their voices to the night’s activities. And those are just the names us non-country aficionados recognize!
The CMT Music Awards 2014 airWednesday, June 4, at 8 p.m. on CMT.
