CNN’s Co-Anchor, Kate Bolduan, Is Expecting Her First Child!
It looks like the Stork paid a special visit to CNN! News broke today that New Day co-anchor, Kate Bolduan, is expecting a baby this coming October and for what may seem like the first time in the 30-year-old’s career, she is speechless.
“Words cannot describe how excited we are about starting our family,” Kate tells People. “This has already been an incredible year for us, moving to New York and launching New Day,” she says. “Now we’re beginning the best chapter yet.”
This will be the first child for both Kate and her husband, Michael Gershenson — a managing director in real estate at The Carlyle Group — who have been married since 2010. The couple recently relocated to New York from Washington to launch New Day, which aired last June.
As for Kate preparing herself for early mornings with a newborn, she’s already got it covered! “I’m looking forward to having someone else in my house wake up before 3 a.m. with me,” she jokes.
Kate shares a news desk with fellow anchors, Chris Cuomo and Michaela Pereira, and she joins the growing morning show baby boom — which currently includes Today Show’s Savannah Guthrie and Carson Daly. Looks like 2014 is shaping up to be an exciting one for these mornings hosts!
