The Voice Coaches Respond to American Idol Drama: “We’re Not Available”

With rumors swirling around about the potential departure of the drama-happy American Idol coaches, reporters have turned to the amicable coaches on The Voice for their reaction.

E! News tried to reach out to the coaches following the live results show on Wednesday, May 8. The goofballs were too busy having fun together to even pay attention to the interviewer, but Blake Shelton did stop to say, "We're not available. We are not available for any other shows."

Thank goodness! Adam Levine was quick to play the devil’s advocate saying, "Let's not forget, American Idol has been around for a long time and it's extraordinarily successful. We could only be so lucky to be around that long," Adam says. "[The Voice] is a fun way to choose talent. I think that's what makes the show extremely unique, is that you have your backs turned. I think that is the biggest thing that makes a difference. Also, we're all singers. Sometimes they don't have singers on other shows, and you're like, ‘Oh, interesting.'"

Yes “interesting” is one way to describe it.
