Columbus Short Releases Music Single “Gave Ya” Amid Arrest Scandal

Scandal star Columbus Short may have a warrant out for his arrest, but that’s not stopping the actor from taking the next step in his career — music. That’s right, Columbus is looking to add recording artist to his already stellar resumé (actor, dancer) and the crooner released his new single “Gave Ya.”

The song dropped just after the conclusion of Scandal’s episode last night (Thursday, March 27), and Columbus is giving tons of sex appeal and falsettos.

From the sound of it, Columbus is getting more action in his song than his on-screen character Harrison is getting on Scandal!

We have to admit, Columbus doesn’t sound bad at all. We think the Cadillac Records star is definitely channelling his inner Usher with this track, and we’re actually curious to see what else his vocal cords has to offer. Even though that warrant for arrest just may get in the way…

On March 26, a warrant for Columbus’s arrest was issued for felony aggravated battery after the actor got into a bar fight on March 15. Columbus didn’t seem too phased by the news as he was seen on the set of Scandal the same day and then strolling with his wife and kiddo the next day.

Despite the legal trouble, Columbus just may have a shot in the music biz.
