American Idol Contestant Arrested After Violating Protective Order, Calling Ex-Lover “Skank”
American Idol arrests continue to rack up over the years. Jermaine Jones. Corey Clark. Even this year’s Curtis Finch Jr., allegedly fell into this group of American Idol alums who have had run-ins with the law. Apparently, fame, even if fleeting, doesn’t keep you safe from being thrown in the clink, and now another contestant who appeared on the FOX show has been thrown in jail.
The New York Post calls him a “devout Jewish beatboxer,” but Jonathan Stone, 29, became known on Wednesday night for more of a beatdown...verbally, at least. He violated a protective order by calling his ex-lover a “f–king skank” at a flatiron taco shop.
Jonathan, who has a degree from NYU, appeared on American Idol Season 8 with his group, Bagels n’ Box.
The contention between the two began when Hagit Hamus, 35, an Israeli-American, told Jonathan she was pregnant with his child. Text messages to her show that he said he wouldn’t support a child, while the report shows he is actually suing for custody of the unborn child in Family Court. What the what?
Yesterday, the Family Court denied Jonathan’s request that Hagit take a “rare, in-utero paternity test,” which her side claims could cause health risks. Jonathan’s attorney, Anne Peyton Bryant, insists the test is “noninvasive,” going on to say “the benefit...is obvious when a mother acknowledges multiple sex partners around the date of conception.”
