Lea tells Ellen DeGeneres this week that, even before Cory's death, she and her team and been adjusting the mood of the album. "The album was actually completed June of last year; we added two songs over the summer [after Cory died]," Lea explains.
"But just over the two years of recording it, it took lots of different sounds," she adds, pointing out that certain songs on the album are sadder than others. "Whatever mood you're in - [if] you wanna cry [while listening to it], you could definitely cry," Lea says.
We appreciate Lea's answer, as she clearly wants to stay positive and stay focused on talking about the music. And what we definitely love about Louder is that each song sounds a little bit different and does manage to create a different emotion within the listener. Nicely done, Lea!
Are you surprised that Cory's death didn't alter Lea's album much? And what do you think of her album as a whole?
