Cory Monteith Death: An Emotional Jane Lynch Opens Up About the Tragedy
Jane Lynch might play a mean Sue Sylvester on TV, but in real life, the Glee actress isn't afraid to open up and get emotional.
On Wednesday night's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jane opened up about the loss of Cory Monteith and how he inspired everyone around him. "Cory's one of the biggest hearts, was a real bright light. He was one of those guys that ... you know, he knew he was breathing rarified air ... the gifts that this wonderful show gave us," Jane said.
She goes on to say how Cory was "a gift" and "adventurous." Jane even said she admired Cory. "I always admired how he would get up ... you know, he would fly to Mexico, he'd throw parties for his friends. I don't think he left one day unlived."
Jane then told a heartbreaking story, showing just how giving and caring the actor truly was. "He once flew across the country on his own nickel to meet with a sick kid [whose] last wish was to meet him. That's just the kind of guy he was. Just a real giver."
We hope the Glee family, Cory's biological family, and his friends and fans continue to heal from this terrible loss.
