Cory Monteith Death: Lea Michele’s Rep Says This is a ‘Devastating Time’

Following the tragic news that boyfriend Cory Monteith passed away Saturday, Lea Michele's representative is speaking for the Glee actress.

After Cory was found in his hotel room in Vancouver, many Glee stars and Hollywood friends took to Twitter to grieve the loss of such a young talent. One such person was missing from the social media site: Lea.

She has still been mum on Twitter since the news of Cory's death, but in lieu of her sending out a message, she chose to use her rep to speak for her during this terrible time. "We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea's privacy during this devastating time," a rep for the actress told People. So don't expect Lea to be taking to Twitter any time soon, she definitely needs time to process and grieve on her own.

We know it must be so terrible for Lea, and we hope that she gets through this tragedy okay. The Glee star stuck by her man through all his ups and downs — even his decision to enter rehab for substance addiction in late March.

"I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this," she told People at the time. After a month in rehab, the costars and real-life couple reunited. At the time, Monteith tweeted: "Sending out big love to everyone. thank you for the continued support! It means the world to me! :)" Michele also chimed in on Twitter, saying, "Today is a great day :) Love you all! Xo."

We love you, Lea. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
