Lea Michele: Cory Monteith Heard My Album Before His Death — “He Loved Every Song”
We can't wait to hear Lea Michele's (Rachel) upcoming debut album Louder in its entirety when its released in March 2014. And one more special thing about this album is that Cory Monteith (Finn) had listened to the entire album before he passed away in July 2013 — and he loved every second of it.
Lea had recorded her album prior to Cory's death, with the exception of two songs that she added in August 2013 to reflect on his passing. Lea tells Elvis Duran's radio show this week that Cory had heard and given feedback on each song, other than those two new ones.
"What I love so much about the album is that, with the exception of two songs, [Cory] heard every single song and was my biggest fan — and critic," Lea says with a laugh.
"And he loved every song, and he would give me all of his notes, and I took every single one into consideration," she continues. "So I loved that about the record."
This is truly emotional news. We love the idea of Cory and Lea listening to her songs together, and the idea that he was so supportive — and even offered suggestions — just proves what an amazing connection they had.
