Glee’s Cory Monteith Tribute: Which Broadway Classic Is Rumored to Be In It?

Each time we hear about Glee’s upcoming Season 5, Episode 3 tribute to the late Cory Monteith (Finn), we realize more and more how emotional it will be. That’s especially true after the latest news about a certain song that will reportedly be performed during the episode.

According to OK! Magazine, the tribute episode will include a performance of “Seasons of Love” from the musical Rent, although this has yet to be confirmed by anyone on the show. Apparently, the song will be performed by the entire Glee cast.

“Seasons of Love” seems like a great choice for the episode, given its reflective and melancholic themes. To be honest, we’ve been anxiously waiting for Glee to finally perform this song someday, as we always love when Rent songs show up on the show, like Seasons 2’s “Take Me Or Leave Me.”

We’re now getting a clearer sense of which songs will be performed during the tribute to Cory. Santana (Naya Rivera) is rumored to be singing “If I Die Young” by The Band Perry, while Mercedes (Amber Riley) is said to be performing a rendition of “I’ll Stand By You,” which Finn sang in Season 1.

So do you think “Seasons of Love” is an appropriate choice? Or do you have a different song in mind that could have been perfect for the episode?
