Remember when Taylor Armstrong got drunk and climbed into a suitcase? Those were simpler times. Last week on VH1’s Couples Therapy, the former Beverly Hills Housewife had an alcohol-induced tantrum that would probably rival one of her 7-year-old daughter, Kennedy’s. And it was all over some sub-par food and the heat being cranked too high in her room.
It was all a little much, as Dr. Jenn Berman would agree. In a sneak peek of this Thursday’s (January 16) episode, the in-house shrink confronts Taylor in group therapy, asking her to explain the seemingly unprovoked meltdown.
“In 20-plus years of doing therapy in Beverly Hills, never in my life have I seen such an entitled tantrum,” Dr. Jenn begins. “But here’s the thing, I think it’s bulls—t, I think you’re a helluva lot tougher than that. I don’t think that green towels, or a lack of lattes, or a small closet will take you to your knees like that. So tell me what it was really about.”
And then we finally get to see the single mother let her guard down. She admits that she’s scared to lose her new boyfriend, John, who was also becoming impatient with the show and considering leaving. “I’ve already had reality TV kill one person in my life, and now he’s spinning out of control and I’m like ‘F—k, here we go again,’” Taylor says between tears.
Whoa, who said anything about someone being killed — we thought this was just some stress over room temperature!
Dr. Jenn still shows her patience and explains to Taylor that she’s not at fault for the suicide of her estranged husband, Russell. We have to admit she’s got some good points. Better listen up, girl!
Tune into Couples Therapy when it airs on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET on VH1.
