Dance Moms’ Kelly Hyland Gets a Trial Date For Assault on Abby Lee Miller
Hell hath no fury like a dance mom burned.
Dance Moms star Kelly Hyland will finally see her day in court over her alleged assault on Abby Lee Dance Company HBIC Abby Lee Miller.
The lawsuit against Kelly claims that she slapped Abby during a heated argument between the two women.
In her defense, Kelly, the mother of former ALDC students Paige and Brooke, claims that her aggressive action came about as a result of Abby gnashing her teeth at her — you know, the kind of normal parent-teacher interaction kids come to expect at their after school activities.
While the show is set in Pittsburgh, the assault took place at New York’s Lehman College, so Kelly will have to get herself to the Empire State to plead her case.
The NY Post reports that Kelly will have to report to a Bronx criminal court to answer for her actions on May 2nd, where her lawyers will try to take the case to trial.
My client’s intention is to go trial. She believes that she’s not guilty of any crime,” says Kelly’s lawyer, Paul Martin.
“I think the videotape along with the history of Ms. Miller my client will be vindicated of any type of criminal wrongdoing.”
Do you think Kelly will be found innocent in the assault against Abby?
