American Horror Story: Coven Earns Golden Globe Nomination — As Does Jessica Lange!

Hey, Hollywood Foreign Press! When you're ready, Coven get it!

American Horror Story: Coven — the third iteration of FX's hit anthology screamfest — earned a 2014 Golden Globe nomination today, December 12, for Best TV Movie or Mini-Series.

But the lovin' from the HFPA doesn't stop there! Jessica Lange is also up for an award — Best Actress in a Mini-Series or TV Movie — for her role as the Supreme-ly power-hungry Fiona Goode.

This isn't the first time the organization has recognized the talent Jessica displays on AHS. She was nominated in the same category for American Horror Story: Asylum last year, and won Best Supporting Actress a year earlier for Murder House (winning an Emmy for the part that same year).

The show was snubbed a nomination last year — after having been nominated for Best Series the year before, during its first time at bat.

AHS has worthy competition this year, however: HBO's Behind the Candelabra, Starz's Dancing on the Edge and The White Queen, and Sundance's Top of the Lake.

Meanwhile, Jessica is up against Helena Bonham Carter (Burton and Taylor), Rebecca Ferguson (The White Queen), Helen Mirren (Phil Spector), Elisabeth Moss (Top of the Lake).

OK, all of those contenders are worthy, but we're guessing voters will be just as bewitched by Coven as we are. Viva Horror, and long live Queen Lange!
