Pretty Little Liars Crazy Fan Theory: Ali Lied About Her Attacker Being Noel

Pretty Little Liars is a crazy show full of extreme twists. To stay ahead of the writers, fans have to come up with the most out-of-the-box theories possible. Fortunately, the Pretty Little Liars fandom is more than up to the task. Each week, we like to dive into the wilds of Tumblr and pick out an intriguing theory to explore.

This week, we want to talk about Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse). More specifically, the "attack" she suffered this week, which she says she actually orchestrated herself, with the help of Noel Kahn (Brant Daugherty), as a way to trick Ashley Marin (Laura Leighton) into believing her kidnapping story.

This move seems to prove Ali is still a big fat lying liar who lies, and it looks like Hanna (Ashley Benson), at least, is not going to like it one bit. But what if Ali's lie is actually of a different sort?

One theory we've seen pop up all over the place, which Tumblr user sabrinamomandwife sums up well, is that actually, Ali didn't make up the break-in. That really was "A"; Ali just made up the Noel Kahn story to calm the Liars down when they were freaking out.

Where does this theory come from? For a lot of fans it's driven by how Ali seemed genuinely scared during the attack. Yes, she could just be a world class actress, but it's also possible that the fear is real.

While we suspect Ali's Noel Kahn story is the truth, it's always impossible to figure out her agenda, so we're going to keep this theory in mind, too. You just never know.

What do you think of this theory — is it possible, or totally crazy? Sound off in the comments below.
