Pretty Little Liars Crazy Fan Theory: Peter Hastings Is “A”

Right now, Ezra appears to be a real bad guy on Pretty Little Liars, but just because he's up to something doesn't mean he's necessarily Uber "A". In fact, he's been sloppy enough in recent episodes that some fans are convinced he can't be the biggest baddie of them all. So this week, for our weekly exploration of awesome, out-there fan theories, we want to consider another potential "A" suspect: Spencer's dad, Peter Hastings.

This Tumblr user lays the theory out well, and we think it's very interesting. Here are some of the reasons why.

1. He fits what we know about "A". Based on "A"'s Lair, it would appear Uber "A" is a man, and one who wears a lot of suits, at that. Mr. Hastings certainly fits the bill there. And, being a Hastings, he definitely has the intelligence and dark streak to pull off "A"'s wicked deeds.

2. He's had a lot of shady behavior so far. From burning the hockey stick Spencer found to all of his sketchiness over Radley this season, Mr. Hastings clearly knows more than he's letting on.

3. He has the cash. The Hastings are certainly well off, so Mr. Hastings could definitely be supplying the cash the "A" team needs.

4. He has a connection to the DiLaurentis family. We don't believe that most of the parents on this show could be on the "A" team, because why in the world would they be so obsessed with some teenaged girls? But Mr. Hastings is Jason's father, and clearly still has a connection to Ms. DiLaurentis. Add in the fact that both Melissa and Spencer were there the night Ali disappeared, and suddenly he seems to have all sorts of potential motivations.

What do you think of this theory — is it possible, or totally crazy? Sound off in the comments below.
