During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live last Sunday, Cynthia Bailey apologized on behalf of her Real Housewives of Atlanta castmates for the epic fight that took place at NeNe Leakes’ Pillow Party, but she also took the opportunity to clear up her hubby’s role in melee, insisting that he was trying to break up the argument, not starting something new.

On the after show, Cynthia clarified this point even further, noting,“Peter was actually trying to break up the fight. He was trying to hold Brandon down, and one of the other guys was supposed to hold Apollo down, but it didn’t work out like that.” No, it did not. We think it’s safe to say that no one was able to contain Apollo after a certain point.

The fight continues into the next new episode of RHoA — airing on February 9 — and part two features a pretty epic appearance from one Kandi Burruss. From what we can gather, Kandi has some choice words for Peter, which seems to play into her relationship with Cynthia in some way.

Still, whatever happened between Kandi and Cyn doesn’t seem to have had any lasting effects. Kandi revealed that she thinks all is well with the pair, and Cynthia echoed that point of view last Sunday night, detailing what she thinks of our girl Kandi.

“Kandi and I actually have a lot in common, we’re actually the only to ladies on the show who have daughters,” she began. “When me and Kandi are together we just can’t stop talking, we want to hang out all day, and spend the night together well, not spend the night together but you know what I’m saying. We get along really well but every now and then we just bump heads.”

“I like Kandi a lot, I have a lot of respect for her and I think she feels the same way towards me,” Cynthia concluded.

Cynthia and Kandi haven’t spent much time together on-screen, but it seems like they have all the makings of a dynamic duo.

Speaking of lovable pairs, how does Cynthia feel about NeNe and Kim Zolciak reconciling? “I think it’s cool,” she said. “They started this journey together and I feel like they’re kind of bonded whether they’re actually friends or not.”
