New Dad Posts Heartfelt Note From 12-Year-Old Adopted Son (PHOTO)

Adopting a child, particularly one who isn’t a baby, is one of the most selfless things a parent can do. One dad who did just that received validation tenfold.

Redditor and new adoptive dad johnr87410 (let's just call him John, shall we?) was a single man who was unable to have a child on his own. He recently adopted 12-year-old Josiah and both of their lives have changed for the better. As if either of them needed proof that both of their lives have just been improved, John posted a pic of a card Josiah made for him that will make your heart just melt. I addition to a hand-drawn flower and a #1 Dad sign, the note read:

"Thank you Dad for being [there] whene [sic] I need you the most. I am so happy that you were the one that was chosen out of all the people how [sic] wonted [sic] to adopt me. Your [sic] the best day [sic] in the world. Love Josiah."

When John received hundreds of comments praising him for what he’d done for the child, he made sure to reply, “Thank you. He's changed my life too!"

Just when we needed something to counteract the depressing news from the past couple of days, we see this. What a relief!
