Filming for the highly anticipated movie adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey is well underway, and we’ve had one thing on our mind since we heard the book would be turned into a movie: Isn’t it going to be a little embarrassing filming all those detailed sex scenes?
But according to Dakota Johnson, who stars as Ana Steele, it’s really no big deal.
“I don’t have any problem doing anything,” Dakota admitted to Elle — and if you love her already, you’re in luck, because she graces the mag’s March 2014 cover. “The secret is I have no shame.”
Besides, Dakota’s been drawn to the project ever since she read the E.L. James book, and not just because of the physical intimacy between Ana and Christian Grey, but mostly because of the emotional intimacy as well — although that’s not what most of the trilogy’s beloved fans will tell you.
“Reading the book, I found myself more interested in the ways they were breaking each other down emotionally than the sex scenes,” Dakota said. “I think there’s a part of a woman that wants to be the thing that breaks a man down.”
Sure, Dakota. And you read Playboy for the articles.
