Damon Salvatore’s Best Insults on The Vampire Diaries

It’s been a long summer without Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) and his quippy jabs. With Season 5 of The Vampire Diaries premiering tonight, October 3, we’re totally stoked to hear another season’s worth of Damon’s vampiric snark. While Damon is probably the sassiest character on The Vampire Diaries, it’s funny to see how different he is from Ian, who definitely has a balance of bad boy and super activism down pat. Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, you can sit back, relax, and take a guided tour of Ian’s best lines throughout the first four season of the hit CW drama.

We’ll let you enjoy the video for yourself (seen here), but here are a few highlights:

“Have I told you lately how much I appreciate you not being the dumbest brother on Earth?” — Damon just being really sassy with brother Stefan (Paul Wesley)

“Dear diary, a chipmunk asked me my name today. I told him it was Joe. That lie will haunt me forever.” — Damon making fun of Stefan’s sensitive side

“What’s special about this Bella girl? Edward is so whipped.” — Damon giving us the best reaction to Twilight

Wow, we can’t wait to see what amazing lines the writers have for Damon this season. With him finally in an epic romance with Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev), we’re sure he’ll have some amazing boyfriend lines.

What is your favorite Damon line? Hit the comments and let us know!

Season 5 of The Vampire Diaries premieres tonight, October 3, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
