Dancing With the Stars 2013: Bachelor Sean Lowe on Season 16?

Is Bachelor stud Sean Lowe joining Dancing With the Stars 2013? We hope so!

The Bachelor spoiler king Reality Steve checked out an US Weekly report hitting stands today, saying “a deal hasn’t been finalized, but it’s likely” that current Bachelor Sean Lowe will be announced as a cast member when the 12 DWTS couples are revealed Tuesday, February 26 on Good Morning America.

If you remember, Emily Maynard was the first person said to be "confirmed" for Season 16, then that rumor had to be challenged because no one is actually confirmed ahead of time, especially not in early December when the show premieres on March 18. As Steve notes, DWTS wouldn't cast both a Bachelor and last year's Bachelorette at the same time, and since Sean is more high profile right now — and his season will be ending right as DWTS begins — he'd be the bigger draw.

They cast Jake Pavelka on DWTS Season 10, right after his Bachelor season ended. Remember Vienna Girardi watching him from the audience? Plus, Bachelor Nation is hot on DWTS right now 'cause the reigning champion is Bachelor 13 alum Melissa Rycroft. She won the fall 2012 All-Stars season. So it would make sense for them to want to tap into that same existing audience — plus, Sean loves to take his shirt off and that would work well with DWTS.

On top of that, Life & Style just confirmed that Sean is engaged, claiming he and his Chosen One are "planning to get married before the end of the summer." If that's true, that's a quickie wedding! They could be using ABC as a tie-in, so that might work with DWTS. (Plus, all DWTS competitors are paid six-figure salaries, which could help them in their new lives together.) However, you could see a summer wedding as a sign that Sean won't do DWTS, 'cause won't he be busy? And not all DWTS rumors about The Bachelor franchise pan out. There was a time when we thought both Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky and her then-fiance Roberto Martinez might be dancing on the same season, but neither one has been cast. So who knows.

What do you think? Do you want Sean on DWTS? What about Emily? Which would be your preference? Or are you on Team Neither?
